Chateau Versailles

After a glorious nights sleep I got up this morning to Abdeiliah making crepes....yummy!  After breakfast i got organised and took the train to St Lazare station to meet the girls as we were heading to Versailles for the day which is about 30 minutes away by train.
What a beautiful little town.  We walked along the store fronts peering into all kinds of shops.  Wandered through a saturday market with all kinds of goodies before making our way to the Chateau Versailles.  What a ginormous palace and the gardens so stunning!  Can't even immagine what it's like in the summer with all the flower and fountains running!  We got our tickets and made our way through the rooms and corridors.  What a breahtaking place and to believe people lived there so many years ago!  The history of all the kings, queens, guards, marie antionette ect that live there is too facinating to describe.
The famous hall of mirrors is something that must been seen to understand how grand it all is.
We spent many hours in there before heading out for a late lunch and thn heading back to Paris.   On the ride back the girls and I talked about Twighlight and how we wanted to see the new one that just came out so we made a plan, made sure it was in english and found the way to get to the theatre just in time for a 6:05 show.  YAY what a great day!  Made it back by 9 pm, Abdul and I had dinner and now I'm catching up on my online duties before heading off to sleep and onto Switzerland tomorrow!!!
