Whiskey in Scotland = FAIL!

Had my first night out in Scotland last night.  Met up with a girl who I originally met on the plane over from London and she happened to be staying at the same hostel I am in Edinburgh.  She had met some other people so out we went.
We were on a mission to drink some Whiskey like the real Scots.....however I am STILL no a good whiskey drinker.  ICK.  Ever since I drank wayyyy too much of it back in high school I can't touch the stuff.  Takes me right back to the night on the bathroom floor.
However we all had our shot on the rocks and that was it.  Beer after that thanks!
It was a quaint little pub on the Royal Mile with live music and the vibe was fantastic.
We stayed out til about 1 am then headed out for our 1 or 15 minute walk back to the hostel.  It was finally cold out and I was loving it.  I haven't stopped sweating since I got to this hostel.  When I get back Canada I am so going to get some drugs to stop sweating, this is ridiculous.  No one else looks as frazzled, shiny and gross as I do.  I just want a normal body temperature for once!!!
My bed is right by the window which is a catch 22.  The beeze is nice however I'm also right beside the old school water heater type thing.  Why does everywhere in the UK have the places piping hot then have all the windows open?  Really seems backwards.
Also wasn't as pleasant as I woke up with the sunshine this morning....and well half the people in my dorm seemed to be checking out early and it was loud so didn't get much sleep last night.
Wandered down for breakfast in my pajamas....that's the great thing about travelling....who cares!!!  Your probably not gonna see them ever again so why not haha.
Grabbed some toast and some cereal and headed back to bed.  Solution....put scarf over head.  Darkish-ness....fantastic.  And I dosed off for another couple hours and feel MUCH better.
The weather has improved since I first woke up this morning as well so it's time to explore and wander outside.
Jenn (the girl I met at the airport and I) have booked a free day tour to with The Hairy Coo (LMAO hahahahah they are the hairy highland cow things) tomorrow and are heading to the highlands YAY.  You give them a tip for whatever you think the tour is worth but they seem o forgive poor backpackers when we can only give 5 pounds or so.  Anyway it's super worth it for us!
Well I'm gonna go find me some more men in kilts....hehehe....makes me giggle every time!
Ciao!
